I was using a cache machine on a bank and noticed that the headphone socket (yes headphone socket) was a bit wonky. Having already entered my pin I decided to investigate by giving it a prod to see if it was a glued on camera, and it was indeed a headphone socket that had become detached.
I went in to the bank to let them know this and said "I have just used your left cache machine and there is a bit hanging off it" to the person who asked if they could help. They then asked "Would you like to let them know over there" pointing at the long cacher queue. "No, not really" was my instructive and honest answer, followed by "I just thought I should let you know". I bit of reality clicked in and I was thanked for my efforts and someone would be sent out quickly.
The moral of this story is if someone is nice enough to help a little, don't expect them to do your donkey work. Mot much of a morel content to be honest, but this is the Internet after all.
