Goodbye little car

This is really not important in comparison with the rest of things happening in the world, but I could not let the passing of my little old car go without some kind of note. This Metro was owned by my grandfather before me and other than a large number of dents was in really good shape.

Sadly after 15 years of motoring the MOT test actually broke the breaks, and the emissions were a little high, and the drivers screen wiper needed replacing. Apart form all that it was still good to go (just not to stop).

It has not had the easiest of times over the last 15 years. This last year has been a real strain on the both of us with that brutal attack on the bonnet, and the attempted theft, and attempted arson, and the letting down of it's tyres, twice, and the puncture, twice, in the same wheel.

It does get worse. The car has been broken in to three times in total that I can prove, and possibly more times that I can not, and actually driven away on one occasion, only be be driven a mile and returned in a neighbouring street.

All in all it was a great little car with good fuel economy that got we around Tyneside and on some occasions around the country. It has changed my life and the lives of those around me just be being a car. I will miss it.
