Project Alistair's Holiday
A friend has just gone on holiday because they needed a break and that made me realise that I needed a holiday as well. It has been quite a few years since I have had a proper holiday. Also I have never gone on a full holiday just because I wanted to and done things I wanted to.
I am now looking for suggestions. I don't want to go overboard here and am only looking at a week, or just over, and probably somewhere in Europe. Beeches are not really my thing as I get board really easily and don't like being burned by the sun. Also despite liking a nice quiet drink and am not a big drinker so no booz tours. Naturally I am looking for something that is not overly expensive and if it is good for the environment then so much the better.
So far I have had a few suggestions of were to go. One of my collogues (who shall remain nameless) gave a few suggestions for touring, but he booked a flight back from the wrong airport in the wrong country recently so I don't know why I am listening to him. A friend from the radio project suggested anywhere with dangerous animals and man eating fish. She was joking, wasn't she? :-)
So where should I go and what should I do?
