What magazines do you subscribe to, and why?

None. For a few years I subscribed to the UK version of Computer Shopper. It had good articles but none of the costly extras, but time went on and it then got it's cover disk, filled up with adverts, the width increased from 8mm to 30mm (yes, I measured it), and the cost went up.

I never renewed my subscription annually as I knew when the subscription was up I would get a call and be offered an annual subscription at and radically reduced rate. This happened for a long time, until they would only give me the offer if I paid by Direct Debit by giving my bank details over the phone. I do not give my bank details to someone who calls me over the phone, and I strongly suggest you never do this either if you don't want your account emptying. They could not accept this and there was not way for me to check them out or call them back, so I never renewed.

Nowadays the only reason I see for buying a computer magazine is for when you don't have access to the Internet as I get all the news and information I used to get from Computer Shopper online for nothing.
