Initially I moved back to ukreg.com that I had used before as the move did not cost me, but am also looking at 1and1.co.uk that was recommended and is slightly cheaper. The down side of 1 and 1 is they charge per annum and not per renewal.

I have now signed up for the Google hosted service ( http://www.google.com/a/?hl=en_GB ) and have configured it to forward all the email to my normal account. All spam is not forwarded but stored just in case. It requires a little more technical knowledge than using simple forwarding, but it does a far better job of filtering spam without loosing anything.

Found your blog by searching on "123-reg" and "groundspeak". I have email forwarding with 123reg and I'm beginning to smell a rat. I'm pretty sure that my geocaching pocket-queries are getting lost when sent from Groundspeak to my 123reg hosted email address. As soon as I changed my email address on groundspeak to my real address, the emails started arriving. I noticed something similar with an email list I tried to sign up with a month ago (http://lists.tree-care.info/uktc/index.php) but didn't make the connection at the time. Trouble is, I don't know how much other email I could be losing without knowing! Could be time to move on. Where did you move to?
